The 30 minute sports massage is ideal for your back or your legs, whilst the 45 minute massage is better for treatment to one particular area.
A full body massage lasts 60 minutes and provides treatment to your back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, pecs and feet.
We also provide a 90 minute deluxe sports massage as a gift or purchase option which involves a luxurious 90 minute full body massage.
Massage during pregnancy is very effective at reducing stress and easing any musculo-skeletal discomfort that may be experienced.
Pregnancy massage differs from a regular massage in a couple of ways.
The biggest way it differs is that the person receiving the massage is pregnant, and therefore knowledge of pregnancy and the anatomy of a pregnant woman are very important.
This means that positioning during a massage is critical to the safety and well-being of both the mother and the baby she is carrying.
There are also parts of the body that should not be massaged.
If you book a pregnancy massage, a consultation checklist will need to be completed (if you haven’t already done so) and your midwife’s consent may need to be obtained prior to this treatment being carried out
Ultrasound Therapy Massage
The use of Ultra-Sound waves to create a deep micro-massage to a damaged site.
This speeds up the recovery process, reduces inflammation, reduces pain and further improves mobility.
Ultrasound can also soften scar tissue and be used to reduce pain, increase circulation and increase mobility of soft tissues.
Additionally, the application of ultrasound can be helpful in the reduction of inflammation and the healing of injuries and wounds.
Sports Injury Rehabilitation
When a problem is detected, a rehabilitation programme is devised in order to promote recovery and strengthen the damaged area to repel against further re-injury.
Rehabilitation programmes are customised to every individual and can involve further treatment, ultrasound therapy, stretching techniques, strength training and endurance programmes.
Sports Massage Pre-assessment
The techniques of sports massage, soft tissue manipulation and stretching are commonly used to alleviate tight muscles, spasms, scar tissue, discomfort, postural imbalances and to further improve mobility.
An overall posture assessment is carried out to determine the causes and effects of acute or chronic trauma and further direct a treatment plan. Singular joint assessments can be executed to analyse a specific injury site.
These tests determine if an injury is due to muscular or structural breakdown.
